Enough to understand the scripture
Enough to help me learn biblical interpretation
Studied biblical greek years ago, looking for basic refresher.
Deep enough to understand what commentators are saying when they refer to the Greek text.
I am presently just testing the waters, hoping to determine my future level Greek based on the results of this course.
I want to come back to the level I had when I graduated seminary in 1996
I’m using this course to 1) understand the Bible as originally written and 2) to see if I want to continue on with a more advanced course in Greek.
Not sure yet.
took Greek in seminary and very rusty now, want to begin at the beginning and continue to recover and to learn.
Mostly looking for a better understanding of the NT Greek. I have learned a it through the years and also by studying etymology in my French mother tongue.
Similar to Paul, I’d like to have a firm knowledge of Greek so that I could somewhat comfortably read the NT and writings of the Apostolic Fathers.
I would like to know basic to intermediate Koine Greek to understand the bible and Apostolic Fathers writings better.
