How do you know that God has called you to preach?

One of the reasons is when I was working as a youth leader and teaching every week for junior/senior high youth group an adult that helped each week called me aside one week and said “I get much more out of what you teach each week than on any Sunday morning”.

When I was younger I would always have these dreams that I was preaching in the front of a group of people or teaching in a class setting. As I got older the dreams did not stop and I tried to ignore them but they kept on coming. I started fasting and praying seeking God for the real answer if, He really wanted me to declare His Word. The Lord confirmed it to me and that I could no longer continue ignore the call.

I don’t. I’m here to learn, because God has called me to learn. I couldn’t say if I’m suppose to preach, teach, or just be a good learner. I’ll let God guide me along. Until then, I’m going to just learn and drink up as much knowledge as I can, and when the spirit says “goes this way”, I’ll go that way. When the spirit says “stay here for a while”, I’ll stay here for a while.
