Kevin Ranaghan has served in national and international conferences such as the International Catholic Charismatic Renewal Office and the National Service Committee. His group meeting helped spread Catholic Pentecostalism. In 1967, about three thousand students attended various courses and seminars at Notre Dame, representing laity and hierarchy. He expressed the purpose of these seminars when he stated: “Our purpose was not to propagate it but to explain it to these incoming students and to answer questions about it academically. The story had been carried in the National Catholic Press, and many summer students were curious to learn just what had happened. Five of us spoke as a panel to an audience of over 300 people.”
