How was David Du Plessis significant in the birth of Charismatic Renewalism?

David du Plessis is the person responsible for neo-Pentecostal growth throughout the world. He took an active part in the World Pentecostal Fellowship organizational meetings, was a leader in the 1948 Paris conference, joining the Assemblies of God in 1955. He was an observer at Vatican II and was co-chairman of a five-year dialogue between the Roman Catholic Church and the charismatic renewalists. He spoke in Great Britain and organized the movement in South Africa.
