What do you hope to gain from this course?

I want to gain wisdom and knowledge of the word of God. I also want to place it in my every day life and grow for God’s glory and edification.

I hope to share what I’ve learned with others, and it would great to have another study in this book with someone else once I’ve completed this class and compare my knowledge before and after. I also hope to be able to take such wisdom and apply it other books within the Bible.

I found it interesting that the Instructor, Dr. Dallaire also read 5 Psalms and 1 Chapter of Proverbs daily, so do I. I hope to gain deeper revelations of Wisdom from God, continue to walk in Wisdom, and clearly understand how to apply the knowledge of His instructions. The title of the email that I received regarding this study was listed as ” The value of thinking, behaving, and living wisely” caught my attention. I have made many mistakes in life, even as His child, I have not always made wise decisions. I am older now, and do not want to make the same mistakes again, and again. I want to set a better example for younger people that are in my workplace, my neighborhood, my family, and my community, really the world in which I live. I want Christ to be seen. I expect to learn and understand the wisdom taught in God’s Word, and to apply it daily to my living.

At almost 70 years old, I have a deeper desire to know God, to live wisely, to walk humbly with God. My mortality is coming into focus as I get older and I realize that when the time comes for God to take me Home, it will be just Him and me going into that journey and I want to take that journey knowing that I lived intentionally for Him. I want to live out the rest of my life getting as close to God as is possible. Having been a Christian for almost 30 years, I’m disappointed that I’m not yet the woman that I so deeply desire to be. So I am on my own journey right now to live solely for Him so I will have fewer regrets and be emotionally ready for Him to take me Home.

My wife and I are reading through proverbs so I am hoping to gain a better understanding of what’s all going on.

I hope to gain a better understanding of what wisdom is and what types of wisdom are important to God. With a better understanding of wisdom I can better apply wisdom in my own life. I also hope to teach my children and my husband the importance of wisdom as taught in God’s book of Proverbs.

I hope to learn greater wisdom for even more successful living. Reading & studying these proverbs will ,I believe , give even greater insight in handling life with greater wisdom.

Better understanding of the Book of Proverbs in order that I might apply these principles to my every day life and become a better person…become the person that God intends me to be – a worthy disciple of Jesus – confident in the Word and being able to speak boldly and confidently bringing glory and honour to my Father. To be a light to others in the way I live my life.
