Which kind of sermon development comes more naturally for you – inductive or deductive? Explain.

      I prefer the inductive method. I feel it gets my audience in tune with what area my message focus will be. I think it will be easier for my audience to follow the movements in the message.

      Prior to taking this class I have almost always presented inductively, not because I knew the difference but simply that was how I felt comfortable and how I built what I was going to say. I am comfortable in that but now after seeing the differences and knowing how to do both I think I actually would be more at ease in a deductive sermon.

      Not having given a sermon before, I really couldn’t say. However, I believe I would be more inclined to give a deductive sermon. I would probably present my idea up front, and then spend the sermon expounding upon it.
