Why do you think the ministry of corrections chaplains is misunderstood by the church?

Now days the chaplain role is more maintenance related than spiritual. It caters to more of the physical than spiritual. and the chaplain interacts with many types of religion. In Christisndom many believers in the church would be legalist and not see the grace of God
