Overview and Objectives

Lesson Overview

The Bible is God’s Word and most important source of guidance for Christian beliefs and life. In this lecture we will discuss a working biblical theology for correctional ministry and Christian spiritual formation. A brief discussion will be provided on Black theology and inmate theology along with a critique of the prosperity gospel.

When you complete this lesson, you should be able to do the following:

  • Articulate a biblical theology for correctional ministry.
  • List the characteristics of the stages of change and strategic responses to facilitate change.
  • Identify a variety of approaches to discipleship and reflect on your own discipleship experience.
