Herod Agrippa I
(reigned A.D. 37-44) – The son of Aristobulus (son of Herod the Great and Mariamne I) and Bernice (daughter of Herod’s sister Salome and Costobarus), was born in 10 B.C. He was made tetrarch of the provinces formerly held by Lysanias II, and ultimately possessed the entire kingdom of his grandfather with the title of king. He put the apostleJames the elder to death and cast Peter into prison (Ac 12:1-5).
Justification
In a legal sense, declaring just or righteous. In the biblical sense, justification is by faith (Ro 3:22-28), which rests upon the pure grace of God and is itself, therefore, His gift (Eph 2:8).
