Biblical Integration

I thought the courses were inspiring, fair, and well planned!

I have learned so much from Dr. Black and the book "Truth Weaving." I came into our Christmas break burnt out, but the lessons and readings have helped me refocus on what the true purpose of Christian education is: "to enable [my students] to develop a biblical vision of life that will guide them to think and act for God's glory and their own abundant living." (from "Truth Weaving" by D. P. Johnson) I cannot wait to begin planning out biblically integrated lessons and encouraging my students to seek the truth found in God's Word, even in math class!

This is a great place to begin in thinking about how Scripture informs our curricular goals as educators.

I really enjoyed this course and feel I learned a lot.

I understand the necessity of taking this course for ACSI certification. It is helpful to have each teacher who has that certification to have had consistent teaching on this subject. I just feel as if I am not quite equipped from the lectures or the reading to do this well. I realize this will take time to develop. I think it would be more helpful to walk us through the actual planning of a unit or lesson that is biblically integrated so we at least have an idea of where to begin.

This course was different than I thought it would be. It dealt a lot with the philosophy behind biblical integration. It was very valuable.

The course was great. It was easy to complete and convenient since I didn't have to borrow DVDs from my school administrator to complete the course.

Overall, this course was good. I do wish the course could be done in groups so that there is some interaction. Although I can read others comments, it would be helpful to dialogue with others more. Also, I am in-between schools right now. I am not sure how I will complete this without a supervisor observing me teach when I may not even be teaching next semester. I wish this was clearly stated before I registered for this course.

This course was a great way to fulfill the needed requirements for ACSI certification. While I could have watched a video and read a book on my own, this course actually helped me improve my practice, and gave me important guidance. I also liked the pacing of the course- each section was appropriate in length and assignment.

I really enjoyed the focus on how to integrate the Bible and the importance of being intentional to study the Word of God yourself. I love the teacher's prayerful heart and a reminder to pray that the Holy Spirit would be at work in the classroom.

I really liked Dr. Ellen Lowrie and believe she is invested in the spiritual well-being of our children and the next generation. Her lessons were clear and inspired. I think God is doing a mighty work through her to insure students will learn Biblical principles to guide every aspect of their lives. I think her assessment of the public education system was accurate. I like how we could work at our own pace, think about what we've learned, and apply the knowledge to our own scope and sequence, units and lessons.

I really enjoyed the material, even though as a School Counselor I don't have to teach academic subjects. I am a firm believer in integrating God's word into ALL subjects and wish all our teachers took this CPoE course.

This course is highly recommended. It learned a lot and gave me a lot of value-adding, meaningful, and informative biblical concepts. I truly appreciate our daily read university team putting up such empowering course. Thank you and God bless you.

Really interesting Lectures!

I wish this course had been available when i first started teaching. It should be part of any in-service at a Christian school.

Again, I like the fact that I could go at my own pace. It was nice to have reading choices as well. I purchased my reading materials on Amazon a while back, and it was, again, nice to have my own time scale for completing the required reading. Thank you.

This is an exciting course that keeps people in a continuous learning mindset, and I would recommend it to my colleagues.
