Yes and not because of anything that I have done. The only reason I have any business being in the presence of God one day is that He has chosen to save me. That Jesus has died in my place for the sins that I have committed. The righteousness I have in God’s eyes is Christ’s.

Many times I ponder this question to myself because of the sinful things I have done or still want to do as a so-called born-again Christian. My behavior is worse than many unbelievers. I have done things that many unbelievers would never consider doing. Today, I prayed that prayer in this lesson. I do have a genuine desire to be a born-again Christian and all that’s connected with it. Maybe I want the benefits, the status, the hope this brings. But I haven’t done the work. I haven’t taken responsibility for my own spiritual growth or development. This would require obedience on another level for me.

Yes, I have admitted that I am a sinner in need of a savior and accepted Jesus as my savior. Christ is the perfect sinless sacrifice who dies in my place so that I may have a relationship with God.

Absolutely. The Lord showed up to me in a basement 8 years ago (as an atheist) but it took me a year after that to truly make Him LORD and not just Savior. Since then, He speaks to me as a Father, protects and provides, encourages and corrects, and I couldn’t imagine life without Him. My works, although not perfect, have shown to be a sign of true conversion, by the Grace of God.

Absolutely. I am a sinner, but Jesus Christ died for me and I am redeemed back to my heavenly Father.
Romans 10:9 says “If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”
I realized I was a sinner and separated from God because of my sin. Jesus died on the cross for me – John 3:16. I have confessed, I do believe and I am saved by grace through my faith in Jesus Christ. (Ephesians 2:8)
