The story paints a beautiful picture of love and how Ruth stood by Naomi, even during difficult times. Ultimately, Ruth’s devotion to her family lead her to Boaz. The detail of this story highlight the themes of devotion and obedience, thus the book of Ruth is best categorized as “color”.
