How does knowing that God wants us to ask help us when we come to Him?

All my life when I was raised in church I thought there were rituals you have to follow to get him to hear you and a certain way you had to act before he heard you and was told that God didn’t hear sinners…It conflicted me as to how you could be forgiven if He didn’t hear you. But one day I just began talking to Him like I would a friend so after this lesson it helped me to see that He was helping me all along by talking to Him and now I know He wants me to ask for help when I come to Him for help and that makes my heart glad and want to draw closer to Him.

When I ask, the devil can’t stand it.

In Matthew it says Ask and it will be given, seek and you shall find, knock and the door will open. The word of God is true and God is reliable.

I know that when I pray, it is not annoying God.

It frees me to come without fear of judgment& to know He wants that communication w/ me
