According to Dr. Buzzell, Acts 1:8, provides an outline for the book of Acts. Dr. Buzzell believed that Jesus’ ministry strategy has a three part movement. First of all, Dr. Buzzell wrote that the apostles would be Jesus’ witnesses. Secondly, they would go to Judea and Samaria. Finally, Christ followers would reach the ends of the Earth. In summary, God’s word would be spready first locally and then reach further out, until ultimately getting to the ends of the earth.

The book of Acts is an ongoing story of the work of Jesus Christ and the outline in verse 8 chapter 1 not only illustrates how Jesus intended the early church to spread, but it also outlines how we are to witness for Christ in the church, then the community, and then to the further reaches. The key is that the church in Jerusalem became strong, then moved outward to the surrounding area’s, then into the world.

It demonstrated how the transforming power of Christ spread. It started small and grew outward, only through the work of the Holy Spirit.

    Il Vangelo si sarebbe diffuso
    prima a Gerusalemme, (Atti 1-7)
poi in Giudea e Samaria, (Atti 8-12)
    e poi nel resto del mondo.(Atti 13-28)

According to Dr. Buzzell, this verse provided a template for the apostles to follow to grow the church to ends of the earth. The book of Acts provided 3 movements of Jesus’s Great Commission to spread the gospel first to Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.
