    Yes, i agree with the statement that bible is written for me. We should apply ourselves in the position of the people who were hearing those words and try to understand what was said and finetune it to meet our way.

    Yes I agree with the statement that the Bible was not written to us, it was written for us. This helps me to understand that the passages may not apply to me culturally, but the the main idea or principle may apply to me.

    God’s Word is is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. This is true no matter when it was written or who it was written to. God doesn’t change and neither does His word.

    I do believe that the Bible was written for me. If I didn’t believe that, the Bible wouldn’t make much difference at all in my life, and I probably wouldn’t even try to study it at all.
