I am 71 and have read through the Bible many times but it just shows me just how much I am ignorant of his word, because I learn something new every time I read it. I am even learning Biblical Hebrew so that I can deep dive word meanings. Plus, I am hopeful that I will slow the effects of dementia and forgetfulness. (God willing) Also, I want to be able to help my adult children, my grandchildren, and my great grandchildren. Until the Rapture occurs, or I am called home by Our Lord, I will keep trying to learn all I can.

Why did you select those? I want a better understanding of God and I want other people how to know Him.
How would you state an overall goal for wanting to study the Bible better? God is important to me and His written word is the only way for me to build a relationship with Him. -

But I can’t pray about the splendor of God; mainly because I don’t know how to find God’s attributes within the Scriptures. Of course, I could look up cheat sheets online; but I want to learn how to search the Scriptures for myself. If I am to find God on my own, I need to know who I am searching for.
