They are written in distilled language. The reader has to interact with the writer to discover the meaning. Hence the saying that, “Truth discovered is more powerful than truth given.”

It is not rhymes or metres, but a lot is built on parallelism, with the second either building on the first, or expressing the opposite of what is in the first line.

There is no meter or rhyme as is typical of English poetry. One needs to combine two lines to get the full meaning of what the poet wants to say.

Hebrew poetry has no rhyme or meter. The reader has to interact with the write. The message is written so the reader has to discover it by working with the poem’s construction. The poet writes with the expectation that the reader work the meaning out of the poem and that the truth discovered is more powerful than truth given.

Hebrew poetry is without rhyme or meter. The readers must read between two lines to work out the meaning. The two lines interact in some ways through parallelism to bring out the meaning the writer intended.
