The message is written so the reader has to discover it by working with the poem’s construction. The poet writes with the expectation that the reader work the meaning out of the poem and that the truth discovered is more powerful than truth given.

Deleted User02/04/2022 at 12:13Hebrew poetry is without rhyme or meter. The readers must read between two lines to work out the meaning. The two lines interact in some ways through parallelism to bring out the meaning the writer intended.
