[16]All Scripture is inspired by God and beneficial for teaching, for rebuke, for correction, for training in righteousness; [17]so that the man or woman of God may be fully capable, equipped for every good work.
“Begin with the goal in mind,” they say. So, the goal is to become a follower of Christ who is “fully capable, equipped for every good work”.
Next, we should inventory our equipment, which is the entire body of Scripture that has been spoken (“breathed out”) by God Himself!
Then, we see the possibilities of how this word may work to take us toward our goal:
    The Scriptures will:
    (1) enlighten us by its teaching
    (2) indicate God’s disapproval for ways we are violating His will for us
    (3) show us what is needed to correct our course
    (4) guide us as we progress in following Him.

God’s word will give us proof on who He is – reproof
God’s word will also sho us when we are going against His way – correction
We can use God’s word to lead others to Him – training

2 Timothy 3:16 & 17 teaches that Scripture is for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness.

    1. We gain an awareness of where we are straying from His precepts.
    2. We gain insight about the what is commanded.
    3. We receive instruction in how to live a lifestyle of Spirit directed goodness.
