In over 30 years of being saved, I rarely miss church. For most of my Christian walk I attended church many days per week. I love praising and worshipping God with my brothers and sisters. I love learning and teaching about God. The negatives have been when church politics and favoritism have gotten in the way. Lack of vision on the leadership part is a problem. Not everyone is involved or on the same level of commitment.

My experience has been wonderful, playing and singing worship. It brings me joy to hear the wonderful words expressed in the songs. Unfortunately because of Covid, attendance has been low. On the positive side, church services are available online and being used to continue nurturing our faith in the Lord.

Many years I accompanied my family attending church on a regular basis, as my grandfather was a minister, my mother was the choir director and organist. As I became a teen/young adult, I fell away from my walk and church, due to arrogance, and a sense of hypocrisy in the church family. After several years, I was asked to use my gifts that were given me by God, to help lead worship in a local church. I have been attending and being fed ever since. God touched me and I opened my eyes.

Up until a year ago I attended many different churches. I enjoyed the service, learned, and the people were friendly. However, a year ago I attended what I now call my “home” church. I really felt a sense of belonging. I felt accepted and loved. Over the past year I have been nourished. I have grown and learned to serve.
