The universal church is all believers; past, present, and future. The local church is a specific group of believers who assemble together.

The Universal church includes a body of believers in Christ and the forgiveness of sins. Local church pertains to a church located within the area (city, rural area or reservation) where one regularly attends.

The difference between the “Universal Church” & the “Local Church,” is:
Universal Church: Is the body of believers past, present and future. Those that have put their faith and trust in Jesus Christ that make up the Body of Christ.

Local Church: a called out group of believers that meet collectively and individually that make up the house of the Spirit of Christ.

The universal church is the body of all believers in Christ across the world, while the local church is geographically close.
