What new insights about the importance of prayer did you gather from some of the scriptural verses presented in this lesson?

Psalms 116: 1-2 was my favorite in this lesson…”I love the LORD because he hears my voice and my prayer for mercy. Because he bends down to listen, I will pray as long as I have breath.” To me that signifies just as stated in lesson just like a parent would lean down to listen to a child and comfort them if they are hurting and feed them if they are hungry so with us if we come to him with a request, he will bend down and listen and comfort us, listen to us and feed us and hold us under His mighty hand…it brings me great comfort just knowing that.

That God wants us to talk to him, and that apparently things can indeed change because we pray.

God wants us to talk to him, and frequently. I have problem with the frequent part and want to improve on that.

1. It broadens our vision to the bigger picture
2. Jesus reveals Himself to us?
3. We learn how to approach God in true humility and holiness
