Jacob believed in God and followed him without fear. We can do that same thing by professing our faith publicly.

There was no secret to Joshua’s success, because serving the Lord and obeying His commands is not secret. Honestly we all need to be like Joshua, especially like his claim “For me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” It is easy to say that, however, few actually apply that to their lives. Most people will use those phrases when put against an obstacle or a time of need, but when joyous times have come, how quickly they forget to turn back to God and give Him praise.

Joshua believed in God and obeyed his commands and decrees. Joshua demonstrated his faith in God through his actions and his words. Joshua fully trusted God. We too can believe in God, obey his commandments, trust in God through our actions and words, and fully trust in God. God is a promise keeper and we can believe that He will do what He said He will do.
