Determining the text for application in today’s world may lead to seeing something that’s not really in the text.

In Hermeneutics I think it runs the risk of being subjective if done without prayer and the interpreter may not be aware of biases and the such that can skew the modern interpretation.

Exegesis is difficult because interpreting a message according to what was meant in a different historical period could be tricky. Hermeneutics is difficult because sometimes it is difficult to relate something from a different time period to what is going on today.

Exegesis will be difficult because there is a lot of room to miss important details if I don’t take the time to do my research completely. Hermeneutics because there will need to have a personal application and I lack the self-discipline and accountability to implement and maintain those changes.
