Why would a lack of knowledge of the Old Testament weaken our understanding of the New Testament?

Deleted User01/11/2022 at 10:14Because we would not understand why certain things were done, eg sacrifices, and the various religious observations. We would not understand why Christ came, why He died on the Cross. We would not understand why the Jews were God’s chosen people. We would not understand why we no longer need to follow the law only, but that Christ came to fulfill the law.
