Overview and Objectives

Daniel tells of human faithfulness to God (chapters 1-6) and of God’s faithfulness to His people (chapters 7-12). The book assures the reader that regardless of history’s twists and turns, God controls the nations and their rulers.

When you complete this lesson, you should be able to do the following:

• Name and explain the importance of Daniel’s two sections.
• Place Daniel in his historical setting to gain clarity on his writing’s life-lessons.
• Increase your ability to faithfully follow God’s teaching.
