Lesson Two introduces the tools and skills we use to study the Bible.

When you complete this lesson, you should be able to do the following:

• Name and briefly describe the essential and helpful tools for Bible study.
• Describe the three foundational steps of inductive Bible study.

As you proceed through this lesson have the following question in mind.
What stood out to you in the example of spiritualizing the story of Balaam’s donkey (Numbers 22)? Why should this approach be avoided when interpreting Scripture?
