The Bible says fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Because if this, the quote is true. Only a believe is truly able to love wisdom because they fear the Lord.

We are told in James 1:5 to ask if we lack wisdom, and he will generously provide all that we need. Nothing that has been created, including wisdom, can be loved and appreciated to its fullest extent if we do not approach it as God intended in his creation of it. If one does not believe, they cannot truly reach this highest level of love for wisdom that God calls us to.

Since love is a fruit of the spirit, and the Spirit of God indwells every believer, I think it is not an unreasonable leap, indeed, no leap at all, to suggest that only a believer is able to truly love anything as God created us to do so. Wisdom, an attribute of God, is offered freely to those who ask, and the Psalmist tells us in Psalm 147 that His understanding is beyond comprehension, so it follows that only with the aid of the Holy Spirit, who will teach us, could we begin to love wisdom as God intends.

I truly believe this quote. The Bible says the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. People can be lovers of knowledge without having a relationship with God, but to truly love wisdom you must chase after the wisdom from God.

I agree that a believer is only able to truly love wisdom as God created us to love because in order to have the love of wisdom, we need to fear the Lord. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. If we do not KNOW the Lord, how can we fear Him? If we do not fear Him, how can we truly have wisdom? Biblical wisdom is fearing the Lord enough to want to read His Word and become closer to Him so that we can make the best decisions as possible in this life.
