I can be easily distracted and early morning is a time when nothing’s really going on. I pray to God before I leave my bedroom and before I go to bed at night, so I can talk with Him. But reading His word is when I get to hear Him speak to me and I ask the Lord to sit with me, to speak to me and open my inner ear to hear what He is saying to me during that time. For me early morning is quiet time, after that things get busy and too many distractions.
