Moral values is not enough by itself. As per Solomon a life without God is a pursuit of the wind. Everything is futile.

Especially in tough times, people need comfort, encouragement and assurance, etc. so that they can move on. But in the process they have come to realize that things may not necessarily go the way they expect, hope or believe. Then thoughts about what would happen next in life press them to ponder about what the present or future hold for them. The uncertainty and complexity of the present or the future inevitably oblige them to do some reasoning about life: its purpose.
