Fearing the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, so we need to develop a philosphy of how it works.

It is imperative that I have a Christian philosophy of education because I want my students to gain knowledge, values, and truth that align with my Christian beliefs. If my philosophy of education is not built upon my Biblical worldview, the students’ learning experience will fall short.

“It takes a village to raise a child.” This is something I have observed through my own children and the children around me. Children learn from every interaction they have. They grow and change their outlooks depending on those interactions. As Christian Educators there is a charge to help the students and individuals we encourage to build a knowledge based in truth.

It is very important that Christian educators have a Christian philosophy of education because we are integrating our Christian beliefs with education to educator our students. When we are in the classroom we want our students to see the connection between our lesson and our creator. We want to convey the love of God to our students thru the lessons that we teach and this requires a Christian philosophy of education.

Every teacher has a worldview (with embedded philosophies), and the outcomes of education will always reflect the worldview of the teacher. Only a solid Christian philosophy of education can take into account Reality as described by God’s Word and produce the desired outcomes of Christian education.
