Overview and Objectives

This is the first lesson in a five-part course that is designed to help you become an effective leader for Christ. In this lesson, Floyd Flake identifies the models or stages of leadership which culminate in transformational leadership.

When you complete this lesson, you should be able to do the following:

• Give a simple definition of a transformational leader.
• Identify each of the five models of leadership.
• Describe the similarities and differences among the models of leadership.
• Demonstrate your understanding of the lesson content by writing down key insights that you plan to implement.
