Deleted User01/04/2022 at 21:55The effects of the various rulers, prefects, kings and other appointed leaders dictated the laws of Rome and their own upon the people. Taxes were levied by Rome which effected the ability of the people to make a living. The nation of Israel was constantly under the rule of mostly foreign powers and thus did not have autonomy over there nation. One point can be made concerning how this effected Jesus directly was the fact that the Roman government, represented by Pontius Pilate, had the only authority to have Jesus condemned to death as a supposed threat to Caesar.
