My husband was an unbeliever when we married. I would highlight passages in a new Bible starting with John 3:16 and leave it open on the coffee table next to the TV guide. I’d attend church every Sunday and ask the pastor about which verse to highlight next. I didn’t say a word unless he asked me. One Saturday he asked if he could come with me the next morning. I of course said yes very casually. He had lots of questions and I told about Jesus and His love for him. Long story short, he is now a baptized believer!

Deleted User03/22/2022 at 14:47Definitely less complicated and easier to explain to a newer Christian or one beginning a possible faith journey. The verses tell of Christ’s purpose and love and how we are saved “in a nutshell ” if you will.
