They either turned to God in obedience or turned away from God in disobedience. They would either continue to trust in God or turn to other things to put their trust in. When we face hardships in life, it will test where our trust lies. We can become impatient and begin to look to other things to put our trust in. This causes us to disobey God and fail to see where God is working in our life. What I have tried to become better at is knowing that hardships are going to come and when they do I have to continue to trust God. He has a plan for me and his promises never fail. This should lead to trust and confidence.

Just like the Israelites we have the same choices when we are have difficulties. We can turn away from God and attempt to deal with things on our own or we seek God’s help.

They either turned to God to help them or they turned away from Him and tried to get through their hardships by themselves.
Just like the Jews I have sometimes tried to solve my hardships through my own devices and there have been many times when I have turned to God to help me get through my hardships.

They turned to God or away from him. Their are only two ways to go for anyone. I choose to stand strong in my faith and have God on my side.

The Israelites either pushed toward God or away from Him during times of hardships. The pattern in my own life I have observed is that initially I turn away from God but over time I submit and let God work through my life.
