Why is dependence on God in prayer so important?

Deleted User08/23/2021 at 20:56It is important because it is an opportunity to spend time with God. Talking with God develops a deeper relationship with Him. Besides, praying is a form of asking for God’s blessings. God provides help when we need it and, in the ways, we need it most. Prayer is also God’s way to stand firm against the devil’s tricks (Eph. 6:18).

Deleted User07/27/2021 at 18:21Prayer requires our faith in God to do what only he can do in our situations. If we could do it ourselves then we would not need God.

Deleted User07/19/2021 at 12:14Being dependent on God forces us to rely on Him instead of doing things our way or by ourselves. If we are dependent on someone, we try to make them happy so that they will continue taking care of us. Although God will care for us whether we make Him happy or not, there are greater blessings that He can give us if we are acting in accordance with His will, and we are more likely to do that if we are dependent on Him.
