The quantity of faith does not matter, and the quality of faith really matters. And what matters is not to have more faith but to use the faith that one already has. Though our faith is little, we could expect a miracle to happen. Therefore all things are possible to him that believes and none of the difficulties are unable to overcome

God wants us to communicate with him and he understands how we need help to do that. He comes to meet us and wants to encourage us.

It is encouraging to know that the Lord meets us right where we are.

We don’t have to have supernatural amounts of faith or have more faith than anyone else we know. Even a little amount of faith is enough to release the power of God to answer prayer.

That even just the slightest increase of my faith can and will make a huge impact on my prayer life.

I use the following methods to overcome the obstacle to prayer:
    a) Pray at the fixed time, in the morning before you start work, and in the evening before you go to bed.
    b) Confess your sins regularly. Do not allow them to accumulate and “clog up” your channel of communication with God.
    c) Pray on a group. The more you associate closely with prayerful people, the more you will want to pray.
    d) Remember that God is a loving Father who wants to give good things to his children. We must believe that every unanswered prayer has a reason for it ,and God knows best.

I pray when I am alone – if I am jogging or walking my dog. I get lots of time to think about what to say and I feel this works well

In the middle of the competing thought, I have to turn that into prayer and ask the Lord to help me refocus and center in on Him.

I have to build time into my schedule to set aside to spend with God. I might not manage to every day, but I am spending more time than I have been with Him. I also need to pray that God maintains first place in my life and that other things do not take that place.

Thoughts and reminders of things that happened or things to do.

my greatest obstacles in praying is my inability to focus . There are aches and pains that kept me distracted. I have them with me overnight keeping me awake and without energy to start .

The obstacles are busy schedule, feeling unworthy, and discouragement over previous prayers.

Like most people I tend to struggle to fit in prayer due to a busy schedule. I combat this by making sure my prayer is built in to my day – I pray when i run in the morning, when i drive to work and when i walk my dog in the evening. This is my protected time and that seems to work well for me.

I struggle with setting aside the time as well as the discipline to keep the time focused on prayer. I like the idea of bringing my planner into my prayer closet so I can write down the distractions and consider if God is directing me to take action later.
